Reiki is a gentle energy-healing practice that promotes relaxation, emotional balance and overall well-being. The word “Reiki” comes from the Japanese words “Rei,” meaning universal, and “Ki,” meaning life-force energy. The practice is based on the belief that this energy flows through every living being and supports the body’s natural ability to restore balance.

During a Reiki session, a trained practitioner places their hands lightly on or just above different areas of the recipient’s body. The session is usually calm and peaceful, allowing the person to relax deeply and release mental, emotional and energetic stress.
